This vintage sterling silver ring was purchased in Scotland and features a variety of quartz that is exclusively found in the Cairngorm mountain range in Scotland. During the Victorian era, Cairngorm stones were often used in traditional Scottish jewelry.

This ring was designed in the image of one given to Queen Victoria during her stay at the Scottish palace in 1851. It is double prong set with an oval Cairngorm quartz stone that measures 10mm x 14mm. Cairngorm stones are a type of smoky quartz that are brown or warm brown/orange in color.#90
