 Judy and Jewelry Cases

Currently, temporarily, and until further notice, we are not accepting any additional jewelry on consignment. Judy, our in-house GIA Gemologist, is taking a well-deserved and much needed sabbatical from processing jewelry for several months. We will remove this message once we are again accepting jewelry on consignment.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

When it’s time to sell your jewelry, you should consider the benefits that consigning your jewelry with Upscale Consignment offers: Local and Nationwide Exposure, Trade Experience, Security and Convenience.

Dual Exposure: Your jewelry will receive Nationwide Exposure in our very popular online showroom as well as by thousands of customers who visit our brick-and-mortar showroom seven days a week. Sometimes the best buyer for your item is out of state. If that's the case, we take care of payment and shipping.

Trade Experience: With a GIA graduate gemologist and jewelry appraiser on staff, we are able to knowledgeably evaluate and appraise your items and perform any necessary cleaning in order to present your jewelry in the best condition possible, bringing you the highest possible return.

Security: Your items are displayed in our secured and monitored jewelry cases during the day and locked up in our fire proof safe at night. In addition, our store receives 24 hour monitored security provided by a professional, local security company.

Convenience: For consignors who want to track their item through the consignment process, we offer the benefit of Personalized Online Access to consignor accounts. Consignors can see what sold and when.

There’s no reason to risk your personal safety by meeting up with strangers. Choose to enjoy the convenience and peace of mind that comes with letting the professionals do the work for you. We handle everything from readying your item for promotion to sending you your check.

How does jewelry consignment work?

Once your items have been approved for consignment, we test and evaluate each piece, research comparables and recommend a fair secondary market value. Subject to your approval on pricing, we then promote your items in our showroom, handle customer questions and payment, and when your items sell, we send you a check.

What do you take on consignment? What if I'm not sure what I have?

We accept fine jewelry of the type that would be found in a jewelry store: diamonds, gemstones, gold, platinum, pearls, jade, high-end watches, and high-end designer jewelry.

We understand that sometimes people are not sure of the details or value of what they have, and that is not a problem. Our GIA graduate gemologist will be happy to sit down with you and review your items with you.

How do I go about having my items approved for consignment?

Our store has walk-in jewelry consignment hours every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon until 4 pm.

If you have fewer than 7 items, it is not necessary to schedule an appointment. Please be sure to bring in whatever paperwork you may have such as purchase receipts, grading reports or appraisals.

If you have 7 or more items, an appointment is encouraged. Please click here to submit a jewelry consignment request with information on your items along with a requested date and time.
