Apple Green Jadeite Jade Open Carved Design 14K Gold Pendant

The carvings are quite delicate and exquisite with an open scrolling design that has been carved on both sides of the pendant as well as through to the other side. Additional carvings encompass botanical, primate and avian motifs with flowers, monkeys and birds. Compared to other carving techniques and designs, three dimensional carvings and those that encompass an open design are the most expensive and time-consuming, and typically done by the more skilled artisans.  

Lastly, the jadeite is semi-translucent to semi-opaque with a very good luster and polish and is suspended from a 14 karat yellow gold bail. The pendant measures 48.73mm(l) x 23.15-28.18mm(w) x 8.42mm(d) and is in excellent condition.#90
