This handcrafted stretchable bracelet from Tatlanika Trading in Clear, Alaska features walrus ivory and baleen link carvings and embelished with Alaskan Life scrimshaw pictorials on the ivory links.  

The bracelet consists of ten rectangular carved tablets that are each designed with curved-cut-corners and finished with a semi-gloss. The tablet links measure .75"(w) x .875"(l) and include five carved from walrus ivory and baleen . The ivory links feature 'Alaskan Life' scrimshaw designs with black ink, and include pictorials of an inuit eskimo, walrus, eagle, seal and bear.

The other five brown carvings are done using baleen, which is a set of flexible, bristle-like plates that act as a filter-feeding system, and hangs from the upper jaw of baleen whales. The whales use these plates to filter food from seawater, acting as the baleen whale's teeth.  

The tablets are connected on the reverse side of the bracelet with double elastic bands, making the bracelet stretchable. Included with the bracelet is the original box and original artisan tag. #90
