This vintage, handcrafted ring by a Navajo silversmith is crafted from sterling silver and is finished with both a bright polish finish and a textured finish. The top and bottom edges of the band have a free-form organic nature that matches the theme of moving river water and swimming fish aesthetic. Hand-chiseled inside the band is a Navajo inscription. Many Navajo sign with very blocky, upright letters when using an engraving tool or chisel. The inscription on this ring resembles the way some artists write "NIZH", which means "beautiful" in Navajo. The other little marks sometimes show up as an indication of a clan or tribe.

To preserve the original vintage integrity of Native American items, we do not polish them. We have found that many customers prefer the warm patina of a vintage piece. If, however, you prefer a brilliant shine rather than the patina that comes with age, most items can be easily polished by a jeweler.#90 #A.
