Antique Emerald, Rose-Cut Diamond & Blue Sapphire Ring in Silver & Gold

An unusual and intricately detailed gemstone ring featuring a natural emerald measuring approximately 6.5 × 5.0 × 4.0 mm, surrounded by twelve rose-cut diamonds and twenty round brilliant-cut blue sapphires.

The raised, squarish setting features an open gallery and a distinctive radiating design beneath the gemstone cluster. Sculptural shoulders and a decorated band add to the ring’s old-world character. The rose-cut diamonds retain their characteristic irregular faceting, with several exhibiting flattened or missing tips. 

The ring’s body and shoulders test as silver, while the emerald prongs test consistently with 12K gold. The precise age and maker are unknown. Its design suggests a possible late Victorian or Edwardian period, although this attribution is tentative.

Gemstones: Natural emerald, twelve rose-cut diamonds (approximately 0.24 ctw estimated), twenty blue sapphires (approximately 1.30 ctw estimated).

Metal: Silver with prongs testing consistent with 12K gold.

Style: Antique, Mixed-Metal

Estimated Period: Possibly late Victorian to Edwardian, circa 1880–1910..
