This vintage sterling silver ring designed by Premier Trading and made in Nepal is crafted with a scrolling and open-work filigree design. Bezel-set in the center of the ring is one oval-shaped maw-sit-sit cabochon that measures 19 x 14 x 4.90mmm(d) and weighs 7.30 carats.

The gem material receives its name from the village of Maw Sit Sit, located in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains and the region where the gem material is found. The bright green and black gem material is often confused with jade because of its chrome-green color and because it is found in the same region as jade. 

Condition issue: As can be seen in the photos, there is one thin fracture that runs from the side of center to the bottom of the stone. The fracture does not go through to the bottom of the stone, but there is no way to know if it has any depth. The ring has been priced accordingly.
