This vintage 10 karat yellow gold ring is a striking example of mid-century men's jewelry design. The bold style is uniquely designed to showcase a rare oval natural black sapphire that displays both a star and a cat’s-eye phenomenon — a captivating combination seldom seen in one stone.

The 4 x 6mm natural sapphire is dramatically framed within an oxidized (ebonized) recessed channel, creating high contrast that intensifies the stone’s optical phenomena. Flanking the sapphire are two round brilliant-cut diamonds, each measuring approximately 2.4mm, adding a bright white sparkle above and below the center gemstone. The ring’s sculptural shoulders feature horizontal raised detailing that visually guides the eye inward, drawing attention directly to the black sapphire at the center. 

This distinctive ring combines bold architecture with rare-gemstone character — perfect for someone seeking a masculine statement piece with depth, history, and undeniable presence. 

As shown in the photos, the gemstone's 6-ray star display is off-center and at the end of the gemstone, not uncommon with natural sapphires. Also, typical of vintage jewelry, this ring displays scratches along the band - (shown in photos).
