This oval-shaped pendant was handcarved out of top quality, ultra bright, untreated natural Burmese Burmite amber from Myanmar. The amber is semi-transparent and called water-purifying amber. It refers to the extremely high-quality purity and permeability of the amber as well as the absence of any trace of impurities or bubbles. The whole is as pure as water, clear and transparent.

The main carving is the classic Buddha figure, but also features an elephant and other important Chinese characters and details. One of the Chinese characters is the swastika (卍 and 卐), a Chinese character and symbol that has been used for centuries in Chinese culture. It represent the universe, God's creativity, or "infinity" and "all". It is a common symbol in Buddhist art and is used in East Asia to represent Buddhism and Buddhist temples. In the Jodo Shinshu tradition of Japanese Buddhism, the swastika can also symbolize peace and good luck.

The oval amber carving measures 3" x 1.75" x 15mm(d) and the amber bead measures 1.13mm in diameter. Included with the pendant is a sik cord to complete the necklace. This piece has been signed by the artist on the back of the pendant.
