This striking vintage ring dates to the early Art Deco period, circa 1920–1930, and is attributed to the American jewelry manufacturer E.W. Reynolds Co., whose work is known for bold design and fine hand craftsmanship. The ring is crafted in 10K yellow gold with sculptural, hand-wrought shoulders and an architectural under-gallery typical of the era.

It is set with an impressive emerald-cut synthetic sapphire, measuring approximately 18 × 13 × 7 mm, exhibiting a subtle pink-to-purple color change under different lighting conditions. Under long-wave UV light, the stone fluoresces bright red — a classic characteristic of early chromium-doped synthetic corundum. Synthetic sapphires were highly prized in the 1920s for their brilliance, durability, and ability to be cut in dramatic sizes not commonly available in natural stones. Importantly, the gemstone is original to the ring, making this piece an authentic example of early 20th-century design rather than a later alteration.

The ring remains in excellent condition, with crisp facets, no visible scratches, and a beautifully preserved gold mounting. Ring size 6.25.
