Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Articulated Pendant - Glass Intaglio, Garnet & Gemstone Dangles

This exceptional handcrafted Art Nouveau sterling silver pendant exemplifies the movement’s devotion to asymmetry, natural forms, and fluid motion. Measuring approximately 3.5 inches long by 2.375 inches wide, the pendant is fully articulated, allowing the bail, body, and three suspended dangles to move independently, creating the characteristic “living” quality prized in turn-of-the-century jewelry.

Curving gracefully from either side of the flower are sculpted foxglove blossoms (Digitalis), a botanical motif frequently found in Art Nouveau design. Their elongated, bell-like forms frame the intaglio and evoke the fairy-tale and woodland themes so beloved during the period. 

Suspended below are three articulated silver dangles, each set with an oval cabochon gemstone: one 8 x 10 mm light violet topaz, one 7 x 9 mm purple amethyst and one 6 x 8 mm reddish-orange garnet Together they add luminous color and kinetic movement to the design.
