This exquisite vintage MEXICO POULAT MATL Style sterling silver and multi gemstone bracelet features amethyst and turquoise stones set in sterling silver. It is a handcrafted period piece that displays high-quality workmanship as shown with the intricate, fine details of the spiral patterns and excellent repousse work. The bracelet is stamped "JGD", a trademark used by Dominguez of Mexico City for his 1920-1940s handmade Mexican Silver renaissance floral silver work with amethyst and turquoise stones. The piece is also stamped "DF", a district of Mexico City. 

The bracelet is crafted with six articulated panels that are studded with 3mm turquoise stones (3 are missing) and center set with faceted amethyst gemstones. The bracelet measures 7.25" in length and 1.625" in width and is secured with a fold over box clasp. 

The overall condition of this item is very good, having wear and patina consistent with its age. This would be a great addition to any Vintage Mexico Jewelry Collection. #90

The Poulat Style has a rich history in Mexico's silver jewelry renaissance. These designs have been handcrafted by some of Mexico's finest artisans.Celebrated jewelry designer Matilde Poulat first trained as a painter at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City alongside famed Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. She opened her own silver design taller (workshop) in 1934 under the mark of “Matl” which is derived from the Aztec word for “water”. Her pieces were heavily inspired by baroque detail work as well as by the feminine colors of Mexico, often using amethyst, turquoise and coral as accents.
