Typical of the time period, this Edwardian piece exudes femininity, fluidity, and a fineness that are unmistakable. Pieces were crafted with dangles, swags, articulation, and swinging diamond or gemstone droplets that evoked a liquidity and liveliness.
This lavalier pendant is set with .76carats of old mine cut diamonds measuring from ~2.2 to 2.5mm in diameter and white-cream, silvery pearls of various diameters: 1.8mm to 7.95mm. This piece is a testament to the skill of jewelers of the time, to be able to create such a delicate piece, edged with pretty milgrained & filigree details in an open work delightful design and have it stand the test of time.
Pendant measures approximately 2-3/8"(l) x 7/8"(w) and is suspended from a 14 karat white gold 18" long chain. #90
