How to Sell …

The EASY Way!

Selling your furniture with Upscale Consignment is easier than you ever thought possible. That’s because you can do everything right from the comfort of your home. And when your items sell, we mail you a check for 60% of the selling price. The majority of our consignments sell within 30 days.

3 easy steps to consign:

  1. Pre-Approval

  • Please make sure your items meet our acceptance requirements.  In general terms, we accept items that are 10 years old or newer, in like-new condition, and are of a style that has strong demand.

  • If your furniture is less than 3 years of age and in "like-new" condition, we can usually pre-approve your item by just asking you a few questions. Please contact us to discuss your items.

  • If your furniture is over 3 years of age, we would like to see a photo first. Digital pictures sent via email to consign@UpscaleConsignment.com are preferred, or photos can be brought into the store or sent via regular mail.

  • You can bring in your items without pre-approval, however, keep in mind that if we are not able to accept them, you'll need to take them back with you.

  • All consignments are subject to our final inspection and stringent quality standards.*

  1. Delivery To Our Showroom

  • You may bring in your pre-approved items any day during the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  We also provide a pick up service for a fee.  The fee for the service is variable depending on the number of items and other specifics of the job. 

  • LIMITED TIME OFFER: If the combined total selling price of all consignments picked up is at least $500, the pick-up fee will be a flat rate of $49!

  1. Pricing

  • Our pricing specialist will carefully inspect your items, and then recommend pricing with consideration given to condition, quality of constructions, manufacturer, original purchase price, style, and demand of the item. We view each consignment as a partnership. It is in everyone's interest to price items at a fair market value that would realistically sell within 30 days.

  • We use "2/10 Pricing" to ensure that your item sells quickly, and at the correct market price. "2/10 Pricing" means that the price is reduced by 10 percent every two weeks until the item is sold. We’ve found that this approach maximizes your sales success within a 30-day period.

That's all there is to It! Now just relax and wait for us to send you a check.  You can even check the status of your items online by going to our Consignor Account page.

To maximize sales potential, in addition to our constant advertising on television, newspapers, yellow pages, and classifieds, we will photograph your items so that they appear in our very popular Online Showroom.**  This is a significant benefit for consigning with us, and there is no extra charge for this very valuable service!  Additionally, our automated Wish List system will contact all the customers with items on their Wish Lists that match the item you are selling. And of course, your items will also be viewed by the thousands of customers who come through our huge showroom seven days a week.

*Pick up fees are non-refundable. Please be certain that the furniture to be consigned meets our guidelines before requesting a pick up. If you’ve dropped off an item that we are unable to consign, please pick it up within 48 hours, or it will be donated to a non-profit organization.

**Items valued at less than $100 are not featured online. It may take up to seven days before your item is shown online.
